President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed visited El Hamma in the governorate of Gabes on Sunday, March 14, 2021, to address the concern of residents.
In a brief speech from the seat of the governorate, the head of state vowed to take responsibility for this “disaster”. He likewise announced the creation of a medical facility in the region. It is a cancer treatment centre under the supervision of the General Directorate of Military Health, comprising a radiotherapy centre and a specialized pharmacy.
