President Kais Saied officially received Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), Noureddine Taboubi at Carthage Presidential palace. The meeting addressed the country general situation , particularly social movements and the latest progress in the municipal area.
Taboubi briefed the head of the state regarding the reality of what is occurring in this area, displaying his utmost confidence in the UGTT centre base dedication to the country while defending their rights.
The meeting further shed the light on the on developments in the country at the political level, he stressed the necessity to speed up the formation of the government in view of the significant deadlines confronting the country.
The two counterparts also discussed the Palestinian issue and the “agreement of the century”. Taboubi revealed his relief that the trade union centre and the President of the Republic share positions of principle in this respect.
