House speaker Rached Ghannouchi officially confirmed that he was never consulted by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, on activating Article 80 of the Constitution, adding that otherwise it is a false allegation, reads a statement by the parliament.
The same source pointed out that freezing the work of parliament is an unconstitutional, illegal and unconstitutional call, affirming that the House of the Representatives of the People in the Republic of Tunisia is in place and will finish its work.
