The member of the defence team of the businessman and former MP Ridha Charfeddine, Jamel Hajji, stated that his client was rearrested during the night from Friday to Saturday, for a further period of 5 days, which could be expanded by the decision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Economic and Financial Judicial Pole, this time, after having been heard at the First National Division for Complex Financial Crimes in Aouina.
The attorney added in a statement today Saturday to the TAP agency, that his client was notified yesterday Friday that he was wanted in a case connected to financial crimes dating back to the year 2021, explaining that this case, which was opened within the framework of the anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering law, classified in 2021.
The lawyer estimated that this question had emerged following the decision taken yesterday by the investigating judge of the Anti-Terrorism Judicial pole to keep Ridha Charfeddine at liberty, in the context of the case of conspiracy against the security of the State.
