The minister of finance Ridha Chalghoum stressed enough that the upcoming government had two options either adjust fuel prices or increase financial gearing.
The minister revealed in front of the House of People’s Representatives the financial mobilization of 438 million dinars in the draft supplementary 2019 Finance Law to support fuel subsidies, against 2.100 million dinars provided in 2019 official State budget.
He properly attributed the remarkable rise due to the marked decline in national hydrocarbon production and the apparent failure to promptly execute the broad program of periodic price adjustment.
