Democratic bloc MP Samia Abbou announced that Primi minister Hichem Mechichi did not visit France on December 30, 2020, to visit his sick son as he alleges, because on that date his two children were in Tunisia.
She stated that the Tunisian people had the right to know everything that occurred during this stay, from the approved agreements to the people he met during his trip, emphasising that according to some rumours, Mechichi would have gone to Italy from France in order to meet suspicious people.
The MP similarly stressed that the trip took place without any regard for protocol, adding that Mechichi did not even take the necessary measures to ensure his own safety.
