Tunisia-Samir Dilou:Al Karama Coalition’s proposal to revise Decree 116 is scary

Speaking to Mosaique FM, Samir Dilou, member of Ennahda expressed his refusal for amending decree 116, an attitude that opposes his party stance.

Dilou explained that the proposal has many predicaments on several levels, saying, `For me it is related to what media do we want? Do we want a free media with controls or a media that opens the door to corruption? ”.

Personally, I see that this initiative aims at what it considers to be a partial reform of a decree that is not permanent according to their proposal,he said adding ” what would push us to amend a decree signed by Fouad Mebazaa when we can introduce a new law.

The chapter that authorizes anyone to open a channel or radio without the need for a license .. is one that scares me,he stressed.

He also commented on the illegitimacy and illegality of the members of the HAICA, saying, “This is not true … the HAICA is legal and constitutional.”
