Residents of the Siseb area under the Sebikha delegation (governorate of Kairouan) took STEG agents hostage as well as the car belonging to the electricity and gas company and requested a resolution to the frequent shutdown of electricity in the area.
It all happened when officers came to fix a power outage that had created a power cut, stated the general secretary of the workers’ union of STEG, Maher Selmi.
The National Guard as well as the delegate and the governor have been informed of this incident to take appropriate action.
