The general directorate of the National Guard revealed that an international network specializing in the smuggling of migrants from a neighbouring country to Sfax has been dismantled.
Illegal immigrants were housed on stages before starting operations to cross maritime borders illegally towards the north shore, indicated the same source.
Following this operation, the public prosecutor authorized the security parties to take the required legal measures against these individuals.
