The Ministry of Health declared in a press release published on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, the signing of an agreement with the Tunisian Organization of Young Doctors (OTJM) and the halt of their strike.
The ministry specifies that this deal stipulates the following:
- To baptize the regional hospital of Kasserine in the name of the young doctor Badreddine Aloui who passed away in a tragic accident at the hospital in Jendouba
- Pay material compensation for the family of the deceased
- Speed up the founding of a multi-stakeholder body to save the public health sector;
- Develop a plan to guard health facilities
- Pay the wages of all contract workers mobilized in the fight against COVID-19 and the shifts provided by young doctors.
