The general management of the National Guard revealed , Sunday, April 21, 2024, that it had discovered the second person missing off the coast of Djerba aboard a fishing boat.
The two individuals departed the port of Aghir on April 20 at 1:00 p.m. They were found dead today at 3:00 p.m. for the first and at 6:30 p.m. for the second.
The required measures were taken in coordination with the representative of the public prosecutor’s office and local health structures.
The National Guard praised the support provided by local sailors who used their boats as well as citizens using their cars during the coastal sweep operation.
