The Interior Ministry stated in a press release that security agents were assailed by protesters at Avenue Habib Bourguiba, when the police interfered, in accordance with the law to prevent them from setting up their tents.
The statement said the prosecution ordered the seizure of tents, chairs and poles and the initiation of legal proceedings against ten people. The ministry added that it is dedicated to respecting the rights and freedoms within the framework of the law and to fulfilling its duty to apply the law to all, without exception.
