The Socialist Party reaffirmed its decision to boycott the legislative elections planned for December 17, calling for protecting state institutions against any authoritarian “drift”.
The party has, likewise, estimated that the new electoral decree law leads to a deterioration of the role of the Parliament and makes MPs “without political identity”.
The party said that has opted for a boycott despite its conviction that “the elections remain an essential tool to make changes in political life and guarantee the peaceful transfer of power.
