Speaking to Mosaique FM,Sofiane Sliti, spokesperson for the judicial unit for the fight against terrorism, assured that the number of suspects arrested following the attack on Akouda (Sousse governorate) has just risen to eleven.
Indeed, two individuals were arrested last night: A man from Sousse. He is a friend of the terrorist from Makthar. The second suspect is the head of the Akouda mosque.
Sliti revealed that the terrorist’s friend admitted he was aware of the terrorist plan that targeted two National Guard operatives. He added that he received an offer to participate in the attack from his friend.
The second suspect is the manager of the mosque which was the site of the group’s secret meetings. Sliti added that the terrorists used a large chisel in the attack. He was found at the crime scene and turned out to be from the mosque.
