President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, went this evening to the Azzitouna mosque, in the Medina, from where he gave a speech to the attention of Tunisians, on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
He recollected that fasting is not restricted to abstaining from eating and drinking or committing taboos. It must be accompanied by righteousness and doing good to people, and staying away from suspicion.
He assured that the holy month cannot be a chance to speculate or increase prices. He called on traders to lower prices, beginning this evening, and on Tunisians to boycott all speculators, and to help each other and support the needy.
He implored Allah to accept our fast, and to support our brothers in Palestine and help them defeat the Zionist enemy, until the liberation of all Palestine, the establishment of its independent state, with the Capital as the Holy Al Quds. He called on the international community to react to the crimes of the Zionists, remembering that just yesterday, dozens of Palestinians died of hunger and thirst, before the eyes of the world.
