The Superior Council of the Magistracy declared the freezing of the membership of member Taieb Rached, First President of the Court of Cassation in the application of the terms of the article 40 of law n ° 34 of the year 2016 of April 28, 2016, correlating to the Superior Council of Magistracy.
In addition, it was decided to remove all his duties as First President of the Court of Cassation and the interim committee for the control of the constitutionality of laws.
This disciplinary sanction was exercised following the scandalous cases of corruption which were assigned to him, in particular by the high magistrate Béchir Akremi.
