Tunisia-Traffic news: List of roads cut due to heavy rains

The General Directorate of the National Guard declared this Saturday evening March 19, 2022, that following the fall heavy rains in Siliana and Kairouan, a traffic interruption was registered on the following roads:

  • Departmental Road No. 801 Ain Jelloula-Haffouz, at Oued El Ghriba and it is likely to divert traffic to regional road 73 Ouslatia-Haffouz.
  • National Road No. 12 Chbika-Haffouz (due to the flooding of Oued El Ghriba).
  • Regional Road n°171 Bargou-Chbika, at the level of the Oued, and traffic can be diverted to National Road n°04 Bargou (due to the high level of rainwater).
  • Regional Road n°719, Ain Bou Saadia-Bargou, at Bargou, traffic cannot be shifted due to the high level of rainwater.
  • National Road No. 171 Errouhia-El Hbabsa, at Oued Al Derija Bargou, traffic cannot be diverted due to the increased level of rainwater.
  • Local Road No. 611 Errouhia-El Hbabsa, level of Oued Bouajila Errouhia, traffic cannot be shifted due to the high level of rainwater.
  • Regional Road No. 77, Errouhia-Ellouza, at Oued Ellia Errouhia, traffic cannot be diverted due to the high level of rain.
  • Local Road No. 803 Haffouz-El Alaa, at the Oued Marag Ellil Haffouz bridge, traffic cannot be diverted due to the high level of rainwater.

In the face of persistent weather fluctuations, the General Directorate of the National Guard called on road users to take the required precautions, to leave the safety distance, to adjust the speed and not to jeopardise crossing places of assembly or torrential water flow, to use headlights when travelling and to follow traffic rules.
