Tunisia-Two nurses at Meftah Saâdallah military clinic test positive for COVID-19

Two new local cases of coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in the governorate of Manouba, bringing the infection tally to 11, including nine local cases and two imported cases, according to regional health director of Manouba, Nabila Gaddour.

The two cases of the aforementioned infections concern two nurses working in the military clinic of Meftah Saâdallah and who live in Douar Hicher, said the same source, adding that they are in self-isolation at their home, and are the subject of medical follow-up by the regional directorate of health services.

The director of health said that from Wednesday, the field investigation of the neighbourhood of the two patients will be launched, identifying epidemiological links, and taking the necessary measures to break the chain of potential infection, in coordination with the local services of the municipality and by coordinating efforts to implement the recommendations of the regional crisis unit held Tuesday evening under the supervision of the governor of Manouba, Mohamed Cheikh Rouhou.
