Under the orders of the President of the Republic Kais Saied, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi will go to Cairo today to partake in the meeting of the 156th ordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level which will be held on 09 September 2021.
During this ministerial meeting, a number of regional issues and major political issues will be discussed, foremost among is the Palestinian cause, which Tunisia still wishes to place at the forefront of the concerns of the international community, in particular, since Tunisia country is a non-permanent member of the Security Council.
This meeting will additionally address the developments of a number of current issues in the Arab region, as well as aspects of Arab collaboration with regional and international forums and gatherings. It will likewise deal with a number of recommendations and draft resolutions of a socio-economic nature.
On this occasion, Mr Jerandi will hold meetings with his counterparts from Arab countries to salute them for the support they have provided to Tunisia as part of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and their position alongside our nation following the decisions taken by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied on July 25, in addition to discussions on approaches and prospects for strengthening cooperation and partnership between Tunisia and the brotherly Arab countries.
