Tunisia-UNESCO launches “Maghreb youth in action to meet COVID-19 challenge”

The UNESCO office in the Maghreb, in conjunction with the community radio Nefzaoua FM of Tunisia, Algeria’s Sidra association and Citizen Initiatives of Morocco, in association with Radio Monte Carlo FM officially kicked off the initiative “Maghreb Youth in Action to Meet the Challenges of COVID-19”
The action consists of advising young people in the Maghreb using an electronic platform designed by these associations.
The purpose is to incite debate among them to receive their opinions and recommendations on the hurdles that befall within the competence of UNESCO, particularly distance education, communication in times of crisis, fake news, human rights, gender equality, culture and scientific research.
Through this initiative, young people in the Maghreb are asked to become engaged in the awareness campaign launched by UNESCO, throughout the world, to help efforts to deal with the outcomes of COVID-19 disease and to prepare for the post-pandemic period.
