Workers at the Agarab landfill in Sfax today rallied outside the headquarters of the Sfax governorate to condemn the suspension of their salaries. The demonstrators told Tunisie Numérique correspondent in the region that they profit from a tripartite agreement, concluded between ANGED, workers and contractors, assuring the continuity of work.
They further specified that the landfill complies with environmental standards and that its reopening is the unique solution to the existing crisis, specifying that “the dispute is purely political since this landfill has been operating for 14 years, why contest it today? ? ”.
They added that a sit-in will be organized within ANGED if the suspension of wages continues.
