MP and chairman of the parliamentary anti-corruption commission, Badreddine Gammoudi, stated that the waste discovered in the Chebika region, in the governorate of Kairouan could be part of the Italian waste.
Gammoudi affirmed that there is plenty of data to confirm this theory, the first of which is the nature of this non-Tunisian waste which has been combined for concealment.
Some of the tonnes of waste of unknown origin discovered on December 30, 2020, was also burned in order to eliminate any evidence of conviction he told IFM.
