Speaking to IFM radio, Musician Mustapha Dallaji announced this Thursday, November 26, 2020, that the artists’ sit-in will be suspended today. The musician stated the resolution was taken after an understanding was reached with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. He added that a statement will be issued before noon on the ministry’s official page announcing the details of the deal.
Speaking to the same source, Dallagi, nonetheless, indicated that if the artists’ bill that was proposed by the union is not discussed at the parliament in a plenary session, the artists will resort to escalating.
“We will not burn the tires but we will go on hunger strikes if this bill will not be discussed in parliament,” he said.
