On the occasion of the 106th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, the National Resistance Support Committee reported the organization of a demonstration rally this Thursday, November 2, 2023, in front of the headquarters of the British Embassy from 10 a.m.
The same source specified that another demonstration will be organized today around 12 p.m. in front of the headquarters of the House of People’s Representatives on the occasion of the holding of a plenary session on the bill criminalizing normalization with Israel.
The Balfour Declaration is an open letter dated November 2, 1917, inked by British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Arthur Balfour addressed to Lord Walter Rothschild (1868-1937), a prominent figure in the British Jewish community.
By this letter, the United Kingdom announced itself in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national project presented as “a national home for the Jewish people”.
