An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 was recorded in the state of New Jersey, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported on Friday.
Reports indicate that the tremor also shook New York City and Philadelphia, along with several other cities along the eastern coast.
The USGS said that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 4.7 kilometers, striking 7 kilometers away from White House Station in New Jersey.
