6.0-magnitude earthquake strikes Afghanistan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 shook the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan at 09:20 UTC, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said on Thursday.

The quake’s epicenter was registered 160 kilometers East from Kunduz city, with a population of 161,000 inhabitants, and 42 km away from the village of Jurm. The earthquake hit at a depth of 201 kilometers.
