During the extraordinary session of the National Assembly of the Democratic Current, the party decided not to grant confidence to prime minister-designate Hichem Mechichi government.
Shortly before the start of the assembly, Samia Abbou declared that a government of competences would be contrary to the spirit of the constitution, but given the political and economic crisis which the country is going through at the moment, this solution could well be defensible.
