Democratic Current MP Samia Abbou pointed out that two months after the start of exceptional measures on July 25, the speech of the President of the Republic confirmed his incapacity to combat corruption. The Head of State proceeds to speak of millions and billions that have been stolen, but no serious inquiry has been opened against those involved, she added.
In a statement to Al Chourouk newspaper, Samia Abbou revealed that the July 25 protests especially targeted the headquarters of the Ennahdha Movement, adding that this demonstrates to what extent this party symbolizes corruption. Abbou likewise called for the prosecution of all those implicated in corruption cases.
