China’s National Health Commission (NHS) announced on Thursday that the number of COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours has reached a new high of 31,454. The health authorities added that 27,517 of those cases are asymptomatic.
The NHS said there have been 297,516 infections since the start of the pandemic, with 5,232 deaths.
