An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 hit the area near the Greek island of Crete, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) stated on Tuesday.
According to the EMSC, the epicenter was located some 38 kilometers southeast of the town of Sitia and 120 kilometers of the city of Heraklion. It occurred at a depth of 8.2 kilometers. No human victims have been reported so far
