Finland-Finance minister Katri Kulmuni steps down over training scandal

Finland’s Katri Kulmuni will be stepping down as finance minister but will remain to lead her party, she said to reporters on Friday, following a journal that said that she had used taxpayers’ money to finance training on how to speak in public.
Kulmuni’s Centre Party will stay in Finland’s five-party coalition government, she said.
As the reason for stepping down, Kulmuni related to the negative reaction following an article in the Finnish weekly Suomen Kuvalehti which said she had received training on how to speak in public worth nearly 50,000 euros ($56,655), paid for by the taxpayer.
