French President Emmanuel Macron remarked on Thursday the European Union must prepare to reduce its dependence on Russia’s energy products and agree on the pace it will implement to fulfil that goal.
Speaking about Ukraine’s accession to the bloc, Macron asserted it would be hard to engage in such negotiations with a country that is currently at war, reaffirming Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s stance on the matter.
