EFFECTIVENESS OF AMERICAN SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE
- Throughout the 578 days of the full-scale war, Ukraine has enjoyed the bicameral and bipartisan support of the United States. Supporting Ukraine is not charity or mercy, but a course that meets the national interests of the United States.
- The total amount of U.S. financial assistance to Ukraine is more than USD 66 bln,. Using only 5% of its military budget to support Ukraine, the U.S. significantly contributes to both the demilitarization of Russia and the deterrence of other potential aggressors in the world.
UKRAINE RECEIVING FIRST ABRAMS TANKS
- The transfer of M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine is the result of the efforts of the “tank coalition”. Western tanks have already proven themselves on the battlefield in Ukraine. Their reliability, firepower, and high cross-country ability save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. Ukrainian crews and engineers have successfully mastered the M1 Abrams.
- The use of Abrams with Leopard 2 and Challenger 2 tanks on the battlefield will certainly accelerate the breakthrough of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the liberation of temporarily occupied territories.
STRIKE ON THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE BLACK SEA FLEET
- On September 22, the Ukrainian Defence Forces attacked the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. Russian military facilities in Crimea underwent the most massive attack of the entire war. It was one of the most protected objects of Russia.
- Ukraine strictly adheres to international humanitarian law. High-precision strikes affect exclusively military facilities of Russia. The reaction of locals on social networks shows that Sevastopol residents rejoice at the achievements of Ukraine and hope for a rapid deoccupation.
REDUCING THE SPHERE OF RUSSIAN INFLUENCE
- The war against Ukraine takes all Russian resources. Moscow is forced to reduce its military presence abroad. The recent escalation in the Nagorno-Karabakh zone has shown that Russia is no longer reckoned with in the South Caucasus. A similar situation will happen in other areas of Russia’s military presence: in Transnistria, Syria, and Africa.
- The very concept of “Russian peacekeeping” has become nonsense because Russia brings only wars to the world, and its so-called “peacekeepers” are unwilling and unable to protect anyone.
