Supreme Council for Church Affairs calls on EU to intervene to end “m-a-s-s-a-c-r-e-s”

The Supreme Council for Monitoring Church Affairs has issued a call to the EU and all countries worldwide to take immediate and decisive action to halt the aggression and massacre perpetrated by occupying forces against Gaza’s citizens, as reported by the WAFA news agency.

As detailed by the same source, this appeal was made during a meeting of the delegation of the Presidential Committee. The delegation, comprising Amira Hanania, the representative and member of the Committee in Europe, Mithri Al-Rahab, the founder and president of the University of Dar Al-Kalama, and Jacques Sarah, the president of the Bible College of Bethlehem, met with Margrete Auken, the vice-president of the Commission for Palestinian European Relations of the Al-Khadr Party. The meeting also included the presence of Abdel Rahim Al-Farra, the Palestinian ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg.

The delegation emphasized the worsening situation in Gaza, citing the death toll of over 17,000 people, predominantly children and women. They highlighted the displacement of thousands of citizens from their homes targeted by Israeli warplanes and the collapse of the health sector. This crisis is exacerbated by a severe shortage of medicines and power cuts due to restrictions on the entry of fuel and medical supplies. Additionally, the delegation condemned the direct targeting of hospitals, medical teams, and ambulances.
