Jebeniana‘s regional hospital in Sfax received a ill patient who sustained scratch from his aggressive dog, suspecting the critical situation the hospital notified the Agricultural outreach unit who inspected the situation and send samples from the dog‘s body to Pasteur Institute in the capital.
After examination, the dog turned out to infect with Rabies. Concerned authorities exterminated 14 dogs and sheep that were suspected of carrying out the disease.
