The preliminary funds for the implementation of the national strategy for the control of insects for this year are estimated at 2.35 million dinars, of which 350 thousand dinars have been dedicated to the benefit of regional councils in areas with a high density of insects.
Municipalities incapable to control insects were backed with 4000 litres of pesticides.
The urban water administration under the Ministry of Equipment, Housing and Regional Planning has further earmarked a budget of 25 million dinars for the year 2021 for interventions within the framework of the national campaign of insect control.
The National Sanitation Office has designated a budget of 2 million dinars for the maintenance of rivers and streams.
