Health minister Abdellatif Mekki said that the six reported infections yesterday are currently in self-isolation, consequently, they do not constitute any inconvenience in terms of their epidemiological implications.
In a Facebook post, he raised the alarm by stressing that yesterday COVID-19 death is more dangerous epidemiologically since its a local case and they don’t have any information about its origin which means the virus is active in individuals that don’t know they are infected.
Therefore, Minister Mekki said that the danger is far from over as he stressed precaution.
He also stressed that health teams are now doing their duty to control the situation epidemiologically, calling on citizens to adhere to preventive and not to be alarmed and to cooperate with health teams.
