Tunisia-Angela Merkel apologizes to President Kais Saied about the delayed invitation to Berlin conference

President Kais Saied received a phone call from German Chancellor Angela Merkel where she communicated her understanding for turning down the delayed invitation to berlin conference. She stressed that Tunisia will be involved in all initiatives related to the Libyan crises.
The head of the state stressed that Tunisia should have been at the forefront of countries invited to the conference as attributed to the fact that Tunisia is one of the States most affected by the Libyan crises especially on the economic and security levels.
The Head of State evoked the everlasting relationships between Tunisia and Germany, especially the position of Tunisia in 1966 when it declined to cut diplomatic ties with Germany following the resolution of the League of Arab States to cut bonds with Bonn at the time.
Both counterparts expressed keenness to preserve the historic relationships between the two countries. Merkel has again extended an invitation to the President of the Republic to make an official visit to Germany. The head of the state embraced the invitation and invited Merkel to pay a visit to Tunisia.
