Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, director of preventive health care at the regional health directorate of Beja Naji Atouani disclosed that the epidemiological situation of the Teboursouk delegation is critical and delicate, in light of the high daily infection tally from COVID-19, assuring that Teboursouk recorded on Saturday, 20 cases out of 22 analyzed samples in the region. In recent days, the delegation has recorded infections from the UK COVID strain.
Atouani emphasised that relaxation in regard to adherence to preventive measures explains this situation.
It should be noted that over the past 24 hours, Beja has registered 35 new cases of Coronavirus, including 08 Beja, 20 in Teboursouk, 03 in Amdoun and 04 in Medjez al-Bab, bringing the infection tally since the start of the pandemic to 4,885 out of a total of 16,010 analyzes carried out.
On the other hand, the recovery rate has surpassed 95% after 4,664 people recovered and no losses were reported on Saturday, noting that the number of deaths reached 158 cases, according to the services of the regional health directorate.
