COVID-19 updates in Tunisia:

Health authorities reported 862  new cases and 30 deaths, pushing the death and infection tally to 8735 and 250,565 respectively.

UGTT dialogue  initiative:

Deputy Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), Sami Tahri declared at the inaugural ceremony of the meeting of the UGTT Regional Council in Soussethat the date of the political dialogue proposed by the UGTT will start on April 15.

Strikes:

Tataouine Regional Labor Union announced a three-day strike from March 31 in the fields of Wadi Zar, Djebel krouz and El Borma under the Italian oil group “Eni”. The strike will be joined with a halt of production.

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Secretary-General of the regional office of the UGTT in Sousse, Kacem Zemni affirmed that it was officially decided to begin a general strike in Sousse

Tunisia adopts Green Middle East initiative

Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi received a phone call from Saudi Interior Minister Abdelaziz Ben Saoud Ben Naif Ben Abdelaziz.Mr Mechichi expressed Tunisia support for the Middle East initiative because it will contribute to the achievement of the global goals for the fight against climate change

Egypt – Train collision – Building collapse: PM Mechichi offers condolences

Prime minister Hichem Mechichi on Sunday offered his sincere condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly following the collision of two passenger trains in the south of the country and the collapse of a building in Cairo.

Ghazi Chaouachi renounces his resignation from Democratic Current

According to informed sources, following a meeting organized by the  Democratic Current political bureau, Ghazi Chaouachi declared the withdrawal of his resignation from the party General Secretariat.

I Watch and vaccines:

As part of its follow-up to the coronavirus vaccination campaign, I Watch reported that health worker, such as plastic surgeons, veterinarians, medical students residing abroad and citizens who are not classified as priority groups were vaccinated.
