The assembly took place following a march that began in the afternoon from Martyr Helmi Al-Mannai Square in Bab Al-Khadra. This march was organized at the behest of the Coordination of Joint Action for Palestine in Tunisia, which unites around 26 political parties, associations, and trade union organizations.
Demonstrators raised slogans to unequivocally support the Palestinian people and the brave Palestinian resistance factions, which have delivered 135 days of resilience and defiance against severe Israeli aggression. They also endorsed the adoption of a law that criminalizes normalization with the occupying forces.
The Coordination Committee held its inaugural vigil in solidarity with Palestine on October 7, coinciding with the commencement of a specific military operation in the Gaza Strip by Palestinian resistance factions, led by Hamas. This operation was named the “Al-Aqsa flood.”
