Mayor of Northern Douz headed to tribes living in the deep Sahara of Douz, which are composed of 30 families to distribute aid.
The residents of the desert get their supplies from a weekly market and purchase what they need after selling their cattle, said the mayor in a statement to Mosaique FM.
Following the closure of the weekly market, the mayor headed with security units to the region to inform them about updates in the health situation and supply them with provisions.
He stressed that some of these residents have never heard of the coronavirus.
