Tunisia-Fadhel Abdelkefi calls on Kais Saied to submit his resignation

Afek Tounes leader Fadhel Abdelkefi called the UGTT general strike a “catastrophe for the national economy” as it paralyzed all critical institutions and establishments.

Abdelkafi told a radio, that the strike will have severe economic and social repercussions, in particular with the participation of the governorate of Sfax, the economic capital of the nation.

On the other hand, he confirmed that his party will partake in the referendum campaign and will urge its supporters and the general public to vote “No” in the referendum.

He, on another part, called on the President of the Republic, Kais Saied to submit his resignation if the results of the referendum revealed that the majority of voters voted “no”, out of respect for political ethics, or to call early presidential elections if Tunisians vote “yes”.
