Tunisia-France willing to boost bilateral cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar, Thursday, had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart, Catherine Colonna during which he expressed Tunisia’s willingness to hold a constructive and responsible dialogue with all its partners including France.

The minister underlined that Tunisia counts on the understanding of its partners, considering the exceptional circumstances the country is facing.

Ammar reiterated that Tunisia made an irreversible choice to establish a true democracy as well as a fair and inclusive development approach which meets the aspirations of the Tunisian people.  

The French Minister expressed her country’s readiness to boost bilateral cooperation and support Tunisia so that it overcomes its current economic challenges as part of equal partnership.

The two ministers also spoke of holding the 4th Session of the High Cooperation Council (HCC) in 2023 in Paris.
