At a press conference on August 27, Prime Minister-designate Hichem Mechichi announced that the new government will prioritize the economic issue.
He revealed that it is imperative to preserve national achievements and public institutions and to retrieve the confidence of people who have lost faith in the political class.
Mechichi also emphasised that “efficiency” should be the watchword of this new government to reassure investors.
He also indicated that each minister will have an individual mission letter and will sign a commitment vis-à-vis the government but also vis-à-vis the people.
