Tunisia-Hostages in Gaza: Italy officially requests Kais Saied

Tunisia may not have made the trip to Cairo for the Middle East Peace Summit but it stays under the radar of the international community by virtue of its historical ties with Palestine, from civil society to the top of the state. In any case, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, believes in the potential for Tunis to play an active role in the liberation of the hostages, as Qatar and Egypt did…

The head of Italian diplomacy revealed this Tuesday, October 24, that his country is doing what it can, alongside Israel and Arab nations, to get the release of Israeli and foreign prisoners in the hands of Hamas in Gaza. Tajani revealed that Rome has requested assistance from Tunisia, Egypt, Qatar and Jordan in this regard, reports Mosaïque FM.

Similarly, he stated that Italy is campaigning for the two-state solution, the only path to lasting peace in the Middle East.
