Italian MP Lia Quartapelle stated that the Tunisian Parliament had been blocked and held by the army since July 25, 2021, posting the photo of the exterior door of the Bardo Palace blocked by a battle tank to give a disgraceful aspect to the situation.
“Yesterday the President of the Republic seized legislative and executive power. This is how democracy dies. This should be of concern to Italy, ”she tweeted.
A Tunisian citizen wrote to her in the comments that Tunisians have never intervened in Italy’s internal affairs, hinting that Quartapelle should do the same.
