Tunisia- Italy sends humanitarian aid to fight COVID-19 to Tunisia

Under the indication of the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Marina Sereni, Italy will send to the port of Tunis more than 25 tons of sanitary material for the battle against COVID-19. The large cargo of humanitarian aid which made available by the structure of the Extraordinary Commissioner for the  COVID-19 emergency and embarked with logistical support from the United Nations First Humanitarian Intervention Base (UNHRD) in Brindisi, is composed of five vessels and divided into different ships and carrying pulmonary ventilators, protective masks, surgical gowns and disinfectant gel.

 

It will be given to the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad. The first ship left today from the port of Naples while the additional ships will leave in the coming days. With this initiative, Italy wishes to reaffirm its friendship and solidarity with the Tunisian people.
