Tunisia-Jerandi talks with Jordanian, Palestinian and Algerian FMs

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi had on Monday phone talks with his Palestinian, Jordanian and Algerian counterparts, in light of the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, notably in the occupied Al-Quds.

Jerandi and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi discussed the spiralling tensions in Al-Quds and the Israeli occupation forces’ attacks against Palestinians, a Foreign Ministry press release reads.

The two sides pointed out the need to consult and coordinate Arab positions in order to put an end to the serious violations committed by the Israeli occupation, including the settlement policy, plans to Judaise the Holy City of Al-Quds and the annexation of Palestinian lands.

They called for an urgent meeting of the competent Arab ministerial committee to stop Israeli aggression in the occupied city of Al-Quds and the recurrent attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the defenceless worshippers.

During his phone conversation with Palestinian opposite number Riyad Al Malki, Jerandi reasserted Tunisia’s constant and unconditional support to the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli aggression and recover their legitimate rights.

Besides, the FM had a phone talk with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra during which they discussed a joint Arab action and called on the international community to act in order to exert pressure on the occupation authorities to renounce their aggressive policies and comply with international legitimacy.
