The former head of the Democratic Current, Mohamed Abbou, assessed that the President of the Republic could find a resolution to the political crisis without breaking the provisions of the constitution.
According to Abbou, some measures must be taken:
- Fixing clear deadlines after which exceptional measures will end
- The battle against corruption and the dissolution of parliament through constitutional and legal means
- The organization of early elections
- The presentation of the proposals of the committee that Kais Saied wants to create in the New Parliament.
Abbou further said that Kais Saied “should be afraid” of violating the laws in force, emphasising that the economic crisis the country is experiencing could affect the legendary popularity of the President of the Republic in the near future.
